Music Lessons

Whether it is pop, r&b, blues, rock, or country, Melissa Blasek offers private instruction tailored to meet your needs. As a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, she believes in teaching instrumental skills, music theory, and performance skills through the use of contemporary music genres, while enforcing traditional musical concepts. Private lessons are available for voice, guitar, and piano in the Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts area.

Teaching Philosophy

Melissa aims to have each and every student experience success. She will attempt to discover each student's unique learning style and teach to this style. Melissa has a certification from Success Music Studio in multi-sensory approaches to teaching music notation, guitar, and piano skills.

Guitar

Whether you want to learn to play rock, pop, country, or classical music, Melissa will help you to learn both lead and rhythm guitar techniques in these musical styles. Other fundamental musical concepts that will be reinforced include: reading music notation, music theory, soloing, and performance skills.

Voice

Every person has certain intuitive vocal abilities. It is Melissa's responsibility to discover the gaps in each student's vocal understanding and teach to these understandings. Melissa specializes in contemporary teaching contemporary vocal styles. In addition to vocal concepts and techniques, students will be taught basic music notation reading/ sight- reading, fundamental musical concepts, stylistic interpretation, performance techniques, and microphone techniques.

Piano

Master piano skills and learn to play songs that you love. Once you have learned the basics of music notation, hand positions, fingering, and pedal skills, Melissa will help you learn to play songs in the pop, rock, country, r&b, classical, or any other genre of your choosing. All students will learn to read music notation, study music theory, soloing, and comping skills.
