"Melissa took us on a veritable musical journey through an array
of pop standards, classic and contemporary rock and country tunes.
She was equally skilled in all genres, demonstrating a versatility
that was truly remarkable. Melissa had a comfortable stage presence
and maintained a nice rapport with the audience... I can honestly
say that Melissa's was one of my favorite music night performances
in the two years I have been producing these events."
Mike Ginsberg, Starbucks manager of musical performances
"Blasek's voice will make you think she's in her 20's, or maybe even her 30's. Her knowledge
of jazz music will make you think she's even older... Her control over her voice is nearly surreal.
It's a wonder we haven't seen her on American Idol."
Hippo Press, Spring 2006
"Once young Melissa opens her mouth to belt out a sultry jazz tune,
it's so amazing and wonderful to realize how much talent she truly has
and how she is well on her way."
Julie Huss, Derry News, 2008
"Melissa is gifted with a beautiful voice, a natural ability in acting, a
mature, perceptive understanding of human emotions and the ability to access them easily."
Rebecca Perricone, Berklee Associate Professor
"Melissa has a clear, strong, flexible voice well suited for many musical styles
including classical, musical theater, pop, jazz, and country. Her interpretation of
different styles is convincing due to her study of idiomatic techniques and her
treatment of lyrics. She expresses lyrics effectively- regardless of style-
due to her commitment to discerning and internalizing their meaning."
David Scott (Syncopation), Berklee Associate Professor
